Using the character of “Shaman” in the tribes' society to portray the sense of confidence, and to show the fashion, styles and powerful image of the tribes’ leader, believing in yourself is always the key to success, be the “Shaman”, not to follow a “Shaman”.  I designed and made the costume and accessories, not very traditional but keeping the elements of tribe fashion.  

Shaman is the bridge between people and gods of the tribes, it is known as the intellectual and spiritual leaders in their community.  Tribe people are foolish and are not educated, therefore they believe in the shaman who is believed to have magic.  They find the shaman for decision making, education.  Shaman is believed to have magical power in the tribes; he/she helps to heal the people from sickness and attacks.  He/she also has the power to kill people for various reasons.  Shaman is the one who can communicate with the gods in the tribes.

 

However, I do not believe anyone in the world knows magic, everything can be explained by scientific knowledge.  This makes me think of the religion that people believe in nowadays.  The 60s,70s, 80s  generations are quite obsessive about certain religions.  Most of them deeply believe in Buddhism and Guanyin, they pray, they give money to beg for health, wealth, love, ability, and beg to solve any problem that occurs in their life.  In my opinion, they lack the sense of security and the confidence to live a beautiful life, so they rely on these unexplainable powers.  I have adverse sentiments towards their actions.  Although Feng Shui is a kind of statistics, I still think having blind faith in it is foolish.
